Rebecca Place was recently recognized for her years of dedicated service to DKG at all levels including the chapter, the state and international. Using the information which was submitted to the state when Becky was nominated and received the Alpha Alpha State Achievement Award, President Jeanette Saulo and Cindy Reynolds honored her at the meeting. Overwhelmed with emotion, Becky could only thank everyone and said it was because of DKG members that she was able to do all she had over the years. She appreciated the opportunities which the Society offers its members.

Beta Rho Chapter members of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International collect supplies for teachers early in their careers and pack them in a basket for a drawing. The winner of the basket then gives the basket to a new teacher in one of the area school districts. The supplies are a part of the state-wide S.E.E. (Support Early Career Educators) Project by the Society. Pictured is Stephanie Surowka-Sanders recipient of the basket of supplies, who is an emotional support teacher for middle and high school students in the Blue Ridge School District. She is also the owner and director of the Conklin Dance Academy.
