Amy Radford Receives
Album of Distinction Recognition
Amy Radford, a teacher in the Faith Mountain Christian Academy in Great Bend and an
active member of the Beta Rho Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society
International, was recently recognized at the DKG PA State Convention in State
College. As an Album of Distinction recipient, she was recognized with eleven other
DKG members from Pennsylvania for honors, awards or recognition outside of the
society. Amy was recognized for having one of her poems, “Two Little Acorns”
published in “Pure in Heart Stories” which is a new online and print magazine of
Christian-themed stories, poetry, and artwork created by adults for children between the
ages of 6 and 11.
Amy is not only a teacher but also a writer and continues to hone her writing skills. She
received a Master in Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing from Lindenwood University in
St. Louis, Missouri in December, 2021. Her greatest desire is to love God in such a way
that lives are changed. A blogger for over fifteen years, she has taught and written for
various ministries.
Since her graduation with a BS in Elementary Education she has substituted and taught
in schools in New York and Ohio. She completed her seventh year as a teacher at
Faith Mountain Christian Academy. She is an active member of the Delta Kappa
Gamma Society International and was awarded a Pennsylvania State scholarship from
DKG in 2020.
